My First Box Project

Afternoon everyone
I have finally finished my Box, didn't take long really, three days on and off.
I started off with the 'A5 Box with Drawer' by 'Candy Box Crafts Ltd' that I purchased from
'Pink Tulip Creations Ltd' who are a supplier of Candy Box Crafts amongst lots of other big makes and brands, please check them out.
Once I assembled the box, which is easy and straight forward to do, I painted the inside of the compartments with white acrylic, I covered the outside using the beautiful papers from the
(The box has a hinged top compartment and a draw)
...I distressed the edges of the papers using Ranger Distress Inks Victoria Velvet, Vintage Photo and Walnut stain
I also Distressed the lace ...
... and the flower embellishment
I made the embellishment by using white faux roses which I distressed using Victoria Velvet and Walnut Stain on the small ones and just Walnut Stain on the large ones, I did this to try and blend with the roses on the paper design.
I added skeleton leaves (Distressed with Walnut Stain, carefully) and Metal Leaf Embellishments
by 'Creative Expressions' which I shaped.
Also by 'Creative Expressions' are the Metal Corner Embellishments that I used all over the box,
on the top ...
... sides and front

I hope you like the end result, first one that I have done but not the last that's for sure, I really enjoyed this project and at the end of the day that's what is important :-)

Thank you for visiting my blog today

  10. Totally beautiful box. The vintage look is stunning, as is the subtle detailing in the papers you have chosen. Your flowers and embellishments look perfect and don't over power the detailing.
