Vintage Candle Holder

Afternoon everyone
I hope you are having a fab day.
My project today is my DT make for the
Challenge Blog

The Theme for this months Challenge is
'ANYTHING GOES'

I created this candle stand from an old glass and chrome one that I had,
I have two so might do a Christmas one with the other one.

First of all I decoupaged some Stamperia Rice Paper,
which I got from DaliArt, inside the glass and then
sponged on some Platinum Starlight paint also on the inside.
I painted the base using Imagination Crafts Starlight paint - Peridot Gold.
I added some texture paste in Ransome areas and sprinkled some
Powertex art sand on.
I moulded the roses and leaves using Katy Sue moulds and Dax clay.
I painted using more Starlight paints - Menthol and Amathyst.

I hope you like my project, looks beautiful lit up.

Powertex Angel

Good afternoon everyone,
I hope you had an awesome weekend.
You may have noticed that I have been a little bit quiet on line over the last week, I've been working on my last day Powertex project....
Well it's finally finished so here it is...

This is only my fourth Powertex project and I am self taught but I thoroughly enjoyed creating this...
The bust / head is by Powertex, I purchased it from
I made the wooden plinth, carved the body shape out of Florest foam, only thing I had at hand, coated fabric and netting with black Powertex and draped around the figure.
The wings are created using individually doe cut feathers, cut out of fabric, painted with Powertex and built up on a wire and mesh frame.
Added some roses, leaves and the rope which I casted out of Dax clay and painted with Powertex.
To get the metallic look, hopefully I have achieved that, I used the following
Starlights Metallic Paint - Peridot Gold
Starlight Was - White Gold
Alchemy Wax - Bronze
Alchemy Wax - Cobalt
Alchemy Wax - Peridot

I hope you like my project, to see how I created it and to see my other Powertex projects click 'HERE'

Witches Hat - Powertex

Afternoon everyone
I hope you are having a fab day.
My project today is my DT make for a BRAND NEW Challenge Blog

The Theme for our first Challenge is
'HALLOWEEN'
So I created a witches hat out of wire and Powertex...

I shaped some aluminium wire into a witches hat, just the rim and then the shape of the hat itself.
I then coated some stockinette and webbing with black Powertex and wrapped my frame, tweaking and shaping as it dried, helped with a heat gun.
I also used the Powertex on some paper roses.
I even amazed myself by making the little spider at the top of the hat out of Heart clay and wire...I hate spiders!
Once dry I coloured using:

I created the spider web with the hot glue gun.

I hope you like my witches hat, I had fun creating it.

I used Imagination Crafts 'Rusty Patinas - Blanc, Duck Egg and Rustique'
I added further colour using 'Ranger Distress Oxides - Gathered Twigs, Vintage Photo, Forest Moss and Fossilised Amber's.

Owl Always Loves You

Good evening all
I hope you have had an awesome day.
A quick post from me today.
I've had a relaxing day and made a few Christmas cards and thought I
would share two with you this evening
They were both created using  the
Hunkydory Topper sheet from one of the
Christmas collections, can't remember which one.
It's called 'Owl Always Loves You'

Hope you like them
Thanks for visiting and enjoy the rest of your evening.

Mixed Media Christmas...

Good afternoon all, I hope you are enjoying your day.
My project today is a mixed media
Christmas card...

I used
The 'Sue Wilson die - Poinsettia Garland' from the Festive Collection
I cut out all elements out, two of the poinsettia, of centura pearl cardstock.
I shipped into the petals on one of the poinsettias just to release the petals and added some Cosmic Shimmer 'Glitter Kiss - Fire Red Kiss'
Once dry I used Creative Expressions Enchanted Gold Gilding polish just on the edges to give a highlight and dabbed with some
On the vine/leaves part of the first I coloured with a bit of the Cosmic Shimmer and randomly added hints of colour using Ranger inks
'Distress Ink - Barn Door' and 'Distress Oxide - Forest moss'
I dabbed where the berries would be with a Pentart Snow Pen
I used the die 'Poinsettia' by Tutti Designs and coloured the same way.
I used the gorgeous A4 stencil by Imagination Crafts
I then tore a square then another square of plain card, just bigger than the first one.
I inked and coloured with the Cosmic Shimmer, Distress Inks and Sparkle medium, just around the edges, not the whole piece.
I simply just mat and layered added some stamens to the poinsettia and loose ones to fill gaps and added the sentiment.
The sentiment is craft board, heat embossed the sentiment with Gold and Red Mica powders and coloured using same technique that I used on the main card.
The sentiment is a stamp by Inkylicious
'Christmas Tree Flourish'

I hope you like my card, thoroughly enjoyed creating it.
Thank you for visiting and enjoy the rest of your day.

Vintage Clockwork Birdcage

Good afternoon everyone
I hope you are enjoying your day.
I went to my local craft shop
on Saturday and I bought, amongst other things, an MDF birdcage kit
by 'Candy Box Crafts'
This is what I created with it...

I used black Powertex on some lace netting and cloth and draped
It over the one side of the birdcage.
I also used Powertex on the fabric flowers, clay flowers and the clay cherub, the cherub I made 3 days prior because it's large it needed time to cure.
I painted the birdcage using acrylic paint and touched with Alchemy waxes by 'Imagination Crafts'
I added the cherub, roses, leaves and then I painted using dry brushing technique with Imagination Crafts Starlights Metalic paint - 137 Platinum.

I added the colour by dry brushing using Waxes by Imagination Crafts
Starlight Wax - 6148 White Gold
Alchemy Wax - 908 Cobalt
Alchemy Wax - 907 Peridot
Alchemy Was - 906 Copper
I painted the wooden cogs using the same colours.

I added a strip of of the clay border made using the Katy Sue Design 'Sea Swirl Border's silicone mould along one of the stripe on the birdcage, painted using the Platinum Metalic paint and added the the wooden cogs that I have done.
I added a couple of metal embellishment and a metal carry handle to the top.

I hope you like my latest project, I had lots of fun creating it.
Thanks for visiting

Mixed Media Paint Brush

Good afternoon everyone, I hope you are having a great day.

paint brush which I had Powertexed.
I also used the Powertex on some hessian and hessian cord.

I used a few metal embellishments on this project, a couple of larger pieces as well as cogs and feathers, I also added some wooden cogs.
I used Katy Sue silicone moulds and DAS clay to make the rest of the embellishments.
'Roses', 'Rose Leaves', the heart from 'Ornamental Cherubs', aniseed from the 'Nuts & Berries',
'Beaded Cross', 'Vintage Rectangle' and the 'Oval Cameo & Frame'

I painted with black Gesso and used waxes and acrylic paints from
'Imagination Crafts'

I hope you like it
thank you for visiting and enjoy the rest of your day.
